Had one simple meeting with HR, then had a technical interview with a "tech lead" who asked basic Laravel related questions but the interviewing process seemed very unprofessional. Felt like either they lacked competency to interview properly or they did not prepare at all. Afterwards, they wanted me to do an assignment to gauge my abilities AFTER technical interview, which seemed very odd. I submitted a task and shared a link so I could get some sort of feedback. In the end, I was pretty much ignored and decided to contact them myself all I got was a single sentence response "task was done pretty well". That was it, literally just this one sentence. I was pretty frustrated that they've wasted my time with 2 interviews and an assignment to be done and Nordcode couldn't at least politely explain why I was not a right fit or anything. In the end, I felt that this interaction just showed me that I dodged a bullet and this employer and/or HR is toxic. Also, the so called "assignment" was a simple CRUD application which doesn't do much to assert person's coding abilities, so it really felt like a waste of time rather than an honest hiring process, I would understand if they wanted to hire a junior developer and CRUD app could be a simplest way to check on candidate, but it was not a junior position.... Not to forget I am certified Laravel developer with 5 years experience working with the framework. I highly suggest being careful with this employer if they treat candidates like that who knows how they treat employees...
