I went to 4 phone interviews. Two of them were with my would-be boss. The others were with his peer and his boss. Overall, the interviews were pleasant. In my case they were more focused on soft skills than hard-core technical ones. They offered me the job without having any face-to-face interview or video call. Personally I felt a bit strange, but last time I had switched my job was 7 years ago. I could be out of game. I guess it is a universal truth: if they are interested, they move very quickly and try to get you on board.
