Pros
After the interview, I was given the chance to chat with an internal employee (not the employer) to better understand the company. I appreciated this effort, as it provided more perspective. However, it did not feel like a fully private session — the employee appeared to be looking around as if others might also be present, which left me unsure about the privacy of the conversation.
Areas for Improvement
The interview process was quite long (around 30 minutes for the test and 1.5 hours for discussion). There were two interviewers present, though they did not introduce themselves, so I was unsure of their roles.
I was asked to share my screen for the test, which I understand, but I was also questioned during the test even though I had confirmed earlier that muting my microphone would be fine. To avoid such concerns, it may be better for the company to consider conducting assessments in person.
The discussion about my job search was reasonable, but the way the questions were framed made me feel somewhat uncomfortable. It came across as if the issue was entirely with me rather than also considering external factors, such as the recent tightening of regulations in Singapore in 2025. A more balanced approach would help candidates feel more respected and understood.
