First round interview was scheduled a month later on video call with the CEO and a person who described themselves as wearing many hats, but mostly working on hiring at the parent company, Intellectual Point. The CEO was a no-show for the video call. Scheduled for 30 minutes, but lasted for an hour. The company representative spoke for 90% of the time and asked a couple basic questions.
I was invited to a second round, 2-hour interview at the offices of Intellectual Point. The interview was scheduled with the Founder & CEO and his father (an advisor/investor in Neuroscale, the owner of the parent company Intellectual Point). When I got on site, the family member from the first video call and the mother of the CEO also joined. The CEO was 40 minutes late. When he got there, the CEO did a basic demo, but otherwise the father did the majority of the talking while the other family members chimed in occasionally. The CEO seemed nervous and stood in a corner of the room, while the rest of us were seated at tables. The father/investor/advisor spoke for 80% of the 2 hours, and I had a hard time interrupting to get a word in.
After the interview, I was told that I'd hear about their decision within a couple days. I followed up a week later, and was told that the team was traveling and would get back to me in two weeks. I never heard from them again and saw that they made a hire for the role through their website.
