I applied online. I interviewed at Neugelb Studios
Interview
Step 1: Initial call with talent acquisition manager, good atmosphere during the interview,
Step 2: A tech challenge that takes more time than expected, and you should be careful here and show maximum with best practice – it is really important for the company (I realised it only after the tech challenge feedback).
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Neugelb Studios (Berlin) in May 2025
Interview
The process included a coding challenge focused on building a SwiftUI app consuming a movie API with async/await, dependency injection, and MVVM. Communication was slow, feedback vague, and additional requirements appeared post-application. Despite delivering almost all requested features with clean code and tests, I received a generic rejection without clear reasoning. The process felt biased and lacked transparency.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked to build a movie list app with infinite scrolling and a detail view using SwiftUI. Optionally, a search with autocomplete.

Interview
Applied online, after the initial recruiter got to know call, I was given a take-home assignment. I spent more than 4 days properly building a scalable, maintainable, and testable app architecture. Of course, it may not be perfect; every solution has some pros and cons, and usually there is no best solution. Then I just received basic rejection mail. Rejections are fine; however, if you are asking candidates to complete this long take-home test, then you should show some respect to the human effort and give proper feedback.
