I was at Navigant for 5.5 years from consultant to manager. Worked in the FS group and did some TAS work across industries here and there. We were under the Guidehouse name for the last two years or so. In terms of resume, would folks suggest I use the Navigant name, Guidehouse name, or both? I know neither carry weight and I’m aware of the reputation of both, so no need to remind me, just curious if one would hurt less on the resume.
Recruiter here - I’d put Guidehouse/Navigant. so you don’t have to separate the jobs on your resume.

Phone screen, followed by a case interview at the University and afternoon interview in the company with a prepared presentation. Until the interview at the company site, everything was going normally. We were asked to arrive around 1 pm. Got there 5 min before, to my surprise they were expecting us for lunch even though the invite was clear that we should arrive no more than 10 min earlier than 1 pm. I skipped eating as there would be a lot of talks in the afternoon. After a bit of small talk and introductions, it was clear that no-one had ideas on where the interviews would take place, what would be the order and where we should leave our bags. The interviews were basically quite confusing, besides the partner, 1/2 of the interviews was unclear what they would check on my performance. After the interview, we had some time to talk to everyone and tour the office. Discussions were quite off-topic and people talking about how they were there mostly by accident and found the job interesting. It seemed like a random group of people, not a coherent company. Did not get an offer, but wouldn't have accepted if I had one.

Just thinking about it, why wouldn’t Grant Thornton be excited to join Guidehouse? I bet there isn’t much of a change in benefits or position levels. If anything it will be the same or better. Has anyone from Navigant or Dovel noticed a difference?
Bc the benefits at Guidehouse are completely trash. Most of Navigant left before they were even fully integrated, remaining leadership is mostly there due to contractual requirements. Veritas runs companies extremely lean and always prepare for a sale, they don’t care about attrition only market share on paper. Source: I was at Navigant and maybe 10% of my network is still there. It’s a contractor that tries to sell themselves as a consulting firm.

Motivational and Competency based telephone interview with three team members in January. Difficult to tell how I had done at this stage but was a few weeks later I was invited to an Assessment day. The Assessment day consisted of 3x45 minute interviews. Interview 1: Motivational + CV based with three team members (1 senior, 2 junior), casual and personal. Interview 2: Motivational + CV based with Director Interview 3: Case study followed by casual chat (1 mid-level seniority, 2 junior). Extensive opportunity to ask questions throughout the process.

Phone screen then in person. Gave us a case study during the in-person that was created by the client. Recruiter wouldn't give me that much info on the client or what after the project would look like. Was fairly straightforward. About 2-3 weeks.

I’m looking at o build a management consulting practice for an IT / Digital Transformation firm with $1B+ in revenue and very strong PE backing. What did I need to do to recruit a few healthcare tech partners from firms such as Guidehouse / erstwhile Navigant? I’d be looking the partners to bring in their own customers and teams / hierarchies. TIA!
Pay them a lot of money and then wait for their noncompetes to expire. It’s a tough sell and tough to make the economics work for the hiring firm. Better bet is to just acquire a boutique focused on what you are looking to build.

Busy, in that we're still bringing in a ton of business, but we lost a lot of people post-merger. Leadership seems really intent on improving culture and retention, for what it's worth.
