I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MuleSoft (New York, NY) in Oct 2021
Interview
Applied for the position in september and received an email for a screening several day later. The screening went well and the recruiter was great except the last part. The recruiter told me "I will pass you on to the next stage of the process, but the hiring manager will decide if they want to proceed with the process. You should get a response from us within 24-48 hours." When the recruiter said that, it puzzled me on why did I get the screening in the first place, mind you this is an entry level position and I'm looking to start a new career path since the pandemic. So 24 hours goes by no response, 48 hours go by no response, almost 72 hours go and that's when I emailed my recruiter for a status update. I received my status update the same day. Within the email they say unfortunately we will not proceed with you as a candidate. The exact reason for this and I quote from email, "We have decided to pursue candidates whose experience is more closely aligned to the immediate needs of the team." I was highly annoyed with the outcome because it tells me their process for recruiting is flawed. That tells me they looked at my resume (knowing I had no experience in sales) and decided to waste my time by doing ample research about the company. Why would you start a interview process with someone that doesn't have the relevant experience (as in just sales prospecting everything else can be learned on your own)? It seems to me MuleSoft (Salesforce) is out of touch on what's happening in this current day. Don't give people who are looking for a career change false hope that they could obtain the job if they apply even if they pass the screening only to be told they don't meet all of the requirements after. It is unnecessary!!

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2022
Interview
First a Phone Screening with a recruiter, then a mock call with hiring manager and then a final interview. The process usually takes 2 weeks so pretty quick compared to other companies.

I applied online. I interviewed at MuleSoft (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2022
Interview
The interview process was challenging but exhilarating. There were ample opportunities to share what individual research I had done but also learn from my recruiter and interviewers. I found my recruiter helpful every step of the way.
