      Sales Interview

      Dec 7, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2016

      Interview

Worst interview experience of all time. The process was extremely slow. I had to check in three of four times to organize next steps (rather than the recruiter reaching out to me), even though the recruiter and hiring manager were both explicit about getting me through the process. After the onsite, I never heard from the hiring manager or recruiter even though I emailed the recruiter several times. I eventually saw that the position was filled on LinkedIn. The lack of respect was more frustrating than not getting the position. -Applied online -Phone screen with recruiter -Phone interview with hiring manager -Onsite with the hiring manager and 3 team members

Yikes! Your recount of your experience sounds like the opposite of what we aim to provide for our candidates, and is generally counter to the feedback we get in our candidate surveys. I'd love to dig into this a little deeper with you to understand what went on here. I'm so sorry you felt you had a negative experience, and there is no excuse for that. Please feel free to reach out to me directly, as I'd love to hear more about what went on here and how we can do better. Thank you for your time and getting to know us.

      Interview

Okay, very interested in knowing my drive and reasons behind applying. Multiple in-person interviews sequentially, mostly behavioural, one mock phone call scenario - focused on gatekeepers and cold calling etc

      Interview

Okay interview process, had several rounds in a day, focus was very much on money motivation, fewer professional competency questions. Overall an okay experience, not necessarily a bad one. Had phone call screen and in person session

      Interview

They make you do a pointless exercise where it involves learning their platform and presenting it back. This is so time intensive and High level of effort for candidates. On top they judge you then based on your proficiency of their platform. How can you be expected to be an expert at something you have just looked at? Totally unfair and designed to set you up for failure. I'm glad I didn't end up working for such a clueless organisation.
