Really good to see an anonymised application process to avoid bias. Quick communications from HR team. Initial online interview with line manager. Informal, warm and friendly discussion. Next stage will be an in-person interview.

Interview
The process was simple an quick. Only had one online interview with 3 panel members (the line manager, the head of the team and another member of a different team). I got a call to let me know I had the position 2 weeks later.

Q: tell us a time when you had to prioritise competing deadlines.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Microbiology Society (London, England) in Oct 2021
Interview
The panel were very friendly and it felt like they were interested in what they had to say. The questions were completely average and aside from one question about one technical question about handling online comments the questions were related to soft skills.
However, it took 4 weeks to receive an outcome from HR, when the panel said it would be a little over a week. I think that is appalling.
