I applied online. I interviewed at MicroSurvey Software
Interview
Facts:
- i interviewed March 2017 after applying prob 8 months before
- this posting has been up there for 16-20 months.
- don't be deceived by the items in "Required qualifications". It's a bunch of bs. They don't ask you anything about OOP, or about your strong math background, or debugging/testing skills. It's all BS.
- they will ask you about where u want to be in 5 years and all that bs that is insulting even for an elementary school student.
If your interviewer's name starts with B and ends with rian, that's the garbage you will be exposed to.
Stay away !
We are building and protecting a culture at MicroSurvey. We hire qualified people and look for people who are not satisfied with the status-quo and have ambitions for the future. Why would we not ask what a candidate's aspirations are and where they want to be in five years? This is called employee engagement and it is very important for our company.
I've worked with Brian for many years and he is one of the hardest, most loyal and competent people I know. Don't let this person's opinion change your mind about our company. It is a great place to work.
Not everyone we interview is hired, and that is just a fact of life.
Regarding the length that the job posting has been posted, I can explain this. We keep several important positions posted all the time so we always have a good pool of resumes on hand to select from when needed.
