I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Cardiff, Wales) in Sep 2018
Interview
First of all a bit of background - I have worked in retail about 7 years and did extensive research on here and on m&s website beforehand. HOWEVER - *This interview was unsucceful* - I'll explain why to maybe help some people preparing for interview.
So on the day I was a bit early to assessment and they still took about 45 mins after my interview slot to see me. I tried to be nice and welcoming to staff in staffroom however a lot of people seemed stressed/uninterested. The lady who interviewed me was like a robot and not warm or welcoming at all. Some of questions they base it off seem kinda irrevelevant - do you own a ipad? And questions about technology I was not prepared for. There was questions surrounding inspiration, innovation, difficulties and customers that I'd seen on here and prepared for beforehand. Thought I did well overall however a different worker came back to me as my interviewer disappeared and told me I was unsuccessful. She gave me feedback on things such as 1. I didn't go In much detail (which I thought I did in my examples, she filled up the answer box on every question) 2. She questioned me if I did any research on M&S as it didn't show in my answers - I was saving my knowledge about the company for a question about M&S specifically, however that never came up so I guess they want you to drop in some knowledge about M&S in other questions. 3. She brought up I didn't know much about technology in M&S (which I'll admit was a bit of a struggle answer for me) so look up on this! But she encouraged me to come back and interview in future. Basically was bit of a hard interview with not the most welcoming of staff - I've had much nicer and informal interviews in the past! I would have preferred the actual interviewer to be the one to give me feedback not a different staff member as she wasn't actually there to hear my answers... Overall based on my feedback I'd say to your research on m&s, technology and give VERY detailed answers

Interview
Very chilled out interview with a few questions about simple stuff like what you would do in a confrontational event. Really nice interviewer, felt more like a chat than an interview.

Interview
The interview lasted about 40 minutes, with a lot of questions about how you have handled situations previously and why you are a good candidate for them. Overall, an average interview just come prepared with the latest news and up to date product knowledge of the company.

Interview
Very relaxed, asked about 4 questions, generic ones like tell me about yourself. Then asked more skills based ones, like a time you worked well under pressure. But overall good
