I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Leeds, England) in Sep 2025
Interview
Got an in-person interview. It went well, very standard questions, a few scenario questions but nothing too difficult. It felt like a positive interaction and I was told I had passed and they would be in touch about a contract within 2 weeks. After around 4 weeks of no response I emailed and was sent an automated message that said to wait longer.
Overall, poor communication and a feeling of false hope, which is a shame as it is a respected company in the UK. I have heard of this happening to people before, whilst some do not experience this. I assume it varies location to location.
I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Warrington, North West England, England)
Interview
quite easy and thorough, in a small office room - quite comfortable environment but very busy during high demand periods such as christmas and holiday season. extremely fun vibes however
Had an in-person interview at the store with the store manager. I had to check in at the desk upon arrival, then was brought upstairs for the interview. It was fairly relaxed and felt personable, the manager was lovely and the interview lasted for about half an hour.
Interviewer arrived late and didn’t apologise only asked one question. Rejected same day but interviewer put in system that I never arrived for my interviewer. Most likely already had someone to fill position.
