Magnum Fire Protection interview questions

Went over my resume. Simple and standard questions. Later I was asked how much wage I was looking for. I said the amount I was making at my last job (which wasn't even that much for the industry). His eyes grew big and he offered me a wage at less than the starting rate for a licensed tech. No thank you.
