I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (San Diego, CA) in Dec 2009
Interview
I applied online and was given a time to come in for the interview. The interview process itself was pretty fast although the wait time was pretty long. Probably about 30 min. I was interviewed one on one by the interviewer but was in a room where other interviews were taking place. It was hard to concentrate on the questions and my answers when I was hearing 5 other people being interviewed at the same time. The interviewer didn't really seem to care about getting to know me but wanted to get the interview over and done with.

Question 1
What are some of the products here at Macy's that you have some knowledge about?
it was easy, questions were straightforward. I can't remember them exactly. The interview process involves resume screening, phone interviews, technical or behavioral assessments, panel discussions, and final evaluations. It gauges skills, experience, and cultural fit before extending an offer.
This interview was conducted years ago in the early 2000s. It was quick and easy, filled up online application and was scheduled for interview right away (maybe due to the holidays). The man anger of the department scheduled directly with me. The interview was fairly quick and straightforward. Easy questions regarding customer service and my approach to organization in my personal life.
It was a quick and easy interview process and the interviewer was very kind. The whole interview was short and asked only a few questions. After the interview, I received a call the same day offering me the position.
