I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2010
Interview
The Macy's recruiters came to my school for the first round of interviews. I was selected to continue to the second round of interviews which was held at their offices. At the time, they were hiring for five or so positions into an entry level executive training program. Around twenty students attended the day long session. We were given presentations, panel discussions, and lunch with executives. The afternoon consisted of three separate interviews. While I did not receive an offer, the day was enjoyable and surprisingly laid back.

Within the hiring department, a discernible casual demeanor is evident, at times bordering on inattentiveness. Moreover, there have been notable instances where certain managers have displayed rudeness, potentially influencing the overall workplace atmosphere and dynamics.
