What a scam. I had a phone interview with Macy’s about a week ago and was told I was hired. Got email time and date for two training dates. When I arrived, I was asked exactly the same questions as my phone interview. The (rude and unfriendly) lady then left the room for a moment and came back saying there were no more part time openings and that “they would pass on me.” I left in tears, totally humiliated. I am older...I think it was clearly age discrimination.

Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.

Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.

It was in person and lasted 20 minutes approximately. Before the int started I was asked to fill out a questionnaire. The question inclu questions about my education and prior retail sales jobs.
