I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Lunatech in Oct 2017
Interview
A place of hypocrisy. They claim to have a self-managed environment, but they reject people who do anything but following instructions.
We had a little chat with their developers on regular matters, like, what a hash map is. After that they've asked me to do a code assessment, claiming I must not spend more than a WEEK on it.
The assessment itself was not that hard, a REST service that serves CSV. They have also requested that the result would be of production-ready quality, no tails. Since I have a lot of REST in my open source projects, I've made a proposition of skipping the coding part by only providing them with architectural overview of this possible project with regards to an imaginary customer of ours. I have also suggested we do live coding if they're unsure if I'm the person who writes code.
They remained silent for a week and then they've rejected my whole application without explanation. Looks like that people who think of business goals instead of just doing tasks won't fit into this self-managed environment.
