      Account Manager Interview

      Jun 4, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Rowlett, TX
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at LuRo (Rowlett, TX) in Jun 2025

      Interview

Phone conversation with recruiter named McKenna who was so sweet and responsive. Then I interviewed with the CEO who was horrible!!! I was recently laid off from a company after being with them for 10 years and the first question I was asked was “after 10 years of employment, why do you think you weren’t worth keeping?” The CEO was condescending and cocky. He looked at himself in the camera more than me. He claimed to know if someone is successful or will be successful within 5 minutes of meeting them. Said he doesn’t need his employees to like him in order for them to be successful. The job poster said a base salary of $55k-73k plus commission but the job was 100% commission based. The good reviews on the 3MK page are 1000% written by the CEO as they all state the same things he said to me in my interview. He acted as if I was below him and all his employees are below him. I got off the interview and immediately cried because I couldn’t believe that type of gross actually exists. I don’t have to work there to know that the negative reviews on the 3MK page are facts. I left the interview feeling like I needed to shower the grossness off me. He promised me a training position within 6-8 weeks of starting (my background is learning and development) I’m so glad I trusted my intuition and immediately emailed letting them know I am not interested. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!
