I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at LinkedIn
Interview
One AI coding interview, one leetcode interview, one behavior interview with manager, two machine learning interviews (one more applied, another one is about machine learning basics). The AI coding interview is more like a algorithm interview.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Sunnyvale, CA) in Jan 2026
Interview
Recruiter reached out through linkedin. Had a 30 min recruiter call. Later an hour of technical round focusing on LC problem and a system architecture related question. The recruiter and the interviewer both were friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
technical round 1 hour focusing on sampling question
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn in Sep 2025
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn (No surprises there). A regular recruiter screen where the recruiter asked me to explain my experiences on a high level and explained the interview process.
Then, I had the technical screen, which is 2 parts:
1. DSA or ML coding
2. ML Fundamentals OR ML System Design.
I was asked a DSA question (with a math angle) and a System Design question. I passed this round and am waiting for the virtual on-site, which I am told is a 5-round, 60-minute each. I will update this experience when it's done.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The DSA question was about an n-sided die with specified probabilities
The system design question was to design a recommendation system
5 round onsite interview process. 2 design rounds, 2 coding rounds and 1 behavioral round.
The questions mostly related to Linkedin applications.
Design recommendation and companies to follow.
The coding rounds were poorly constructed
