Interview
It was over the phone, in response to them getting development money for an urgent documentary, with follow up on WhatsApp, by email and meeting the producer in person.
You had a chance to set out your experience in relation to what they wanted, as well as hearing what they wanted. It was informal, as a small company having to do a lot of things in a hurry, while the director was abroad.
Little follow up, despite making plenty of effort to feed in useful information, which was disappointing but you never know what time pressures they're under in a dynamic situation so not unusual in the industry and for a small firm.

The main thing was about your ability but the website profile, CV and covering letter I sent spelled out most of that already so I just had to show a proactive approach, rather than waiting for a formal interview, once I had an idea of what they needed.
