I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kodiak Solutions (Dallas, TX) in Sep 2025
Interview
I was told there would be two interviews: First one technical, second one a panel interview (soft
skills). For the first interview, I was interviewed by the former CTO of Kodiak. He was very professional, and he asked him really great questions. Most of which I feel I did relatively well. The interview took an hour and 10 minutes one question he asked me during the interview was “what is your leadership style?” as I had almost focused on my technical skills I had done a lot of deep thought into that question because I was told it would be strictly technical. While my answer was adequate, I guess I was turned down for the second interview because they were hoping to find someone with a bit more leadership skills.”
If I had maybe prepared better or Ben prepped by the recruiter a little bit more, I would’ve been able to answer that question with a lot more depth. That said, I didn’t take it too seriously and thought he was just more curious than anything so my suggestion is if you plan on interviewing there for an IT job be aware that this may happen to you not sure. I don’t in anyway I think it was malicious nor was any of their input intended to deceive. Just a imperfect human issue: imperfect communication.
I will say that the gentleman who became very well prepped and asked really great questions and the conversation was really delightful and I felt like he heard me and I felt diet so very good

Interview
I was reached out through Linkedin. I had a first screening with HR then had an interview with a consultant and a 3rd with my peers. I believe the interview went well. After a week I reached out to find out the status of my candidacy. After a week and a couple of emails and phone calls I finally received a response that they hired someone else. No other explanation.
