      Administrative Assistant Interview

      Sep 22, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Clearwater, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at KnowBe4 (Clearwater, FL) in Sep 2016

      Interview

It blind-sided me! I was sent an email from a female employee telling me they wanted me to answer a couple of questions. I did. She then called me, told me that HR guy was very excited about my background on my resume and they wanted to interview me. I had to really work to be available during the hours they could interview me because I am actively seeking employment right now. Once I finally cleared my schedule, I called this female employee and she set up a time for interview. She never mentioned about any quiz. I arrived on site and she put me in a conference room and said I had to take a quiz, set the time and left me. First, the mouse did not work. I had to use the one on the laptop. Second, she didn't share with me how long I had or even about my having to take any quiz/test when I got there. So I'm working on this spreadsheet as fast as I can. And I am a very confident successful professional admin type who knows MS Office 2013 inside and out. She informed me that I had to use LINKEDIN. I have NEVER had to use that as part of a test for employment. Not that it's a difficult program but first of all, the quiz should not be timed. Any normal company would want to prove you can do something, get the task done, not pressure you and run you ragged to see how fast you can accomplish it. I guess they don't care about accuracy. I was then really shocked when this female employee had the nerve to offer my being able to return in 90 days to retake the quiz. REALLY? Is she for real??? How condescending! Why on earth would I want to work with a team of non-professionals as these? They didn't care how good or confident I was...they just wanted a fast moving robot. Dodged a bullet there! I have been a manager and I would MUCH rather have accuracy than speed. And it wasn't even over a half hour that I was working on this adding of detail to this spreadsheet. Geeezzz...give me a break!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

This is the worst part. Because I didn't finish the quiz in some allotted time limit (never did find out what that was), she told me I couldn't move on to the interview. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How totally unprofessional! She let me to believe I had a really good shot at getting this job.

This is not a great experience. However, with that said we have changed many aspects of our hiring process. It is set-up to ensure that we find people who are a great fit for KB4 and that we are a great fit for.

      Interview

I applied a few months ago and received an email from a recruiter looking to follow up for an interview. I replied immediately and never received a response. For a top rated employer, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at KnowBe4 in Feb 2018

      Interview

I was contacted via email that I had been selected for a phone interview. The phone interview was extremely casual and it felt like we were having a relaxed conversation. Questions were not out of the ordinary, focused on past work experience and present skills. Afterwards, was sent a link via email to a few different tests. There was an IQ test, aptitude test and a Scientology 200 question test.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at KnowBe4 (Clearwater, FL)

      Interview

Pleasant - more like a conversation than an interview. I was interviewed over just a few days and given updates on the process as it went along. I turned in my resume, was called the next day for an initial phone interview, then scheduled a face to face meeting. I was impressed by the consideration given to me as an individual. I was placed according to where I would do best and be happiest as opposed to where there is the most need for admin. I had two people interview me, and met a couple other people I might be working with to meet me and explain the job roles.
