Interview
I met a few Kiewit representatives at a school career fair and they invited me to join them at the proceeding banquet dinner. After getting to know them at the dinner, they invited me back for an interview opportunity which was open to campus. A few weeks later they came to present some bg info and offered interview slots for the next couple days. It was very competitve -- over 50 students interview and to my knowledge only a dozen were selected back for second interviews to fulfill only 3 or 4 internship positions.

It was pretty simple for me. I had a reference from someone who currently worked at Kiewit. I had a foot in the door because of this. I can't really speak on how difficult it would be if I didn't know someone who worked there.

The person who attended the interview was late to the interview, I did not interview with who I was told I'd be interviewing with, and was ghosted after the interview, did not even receive a rejection email.

One on one interview with recruiter for about 20 minutes. I was asked weird questions about work place safety even though was applying for a finance role. Was scheduled for a second round but never got back to me.
