I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at JetBlue (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Mar 2019
Interview
I applied December first and did not have my inperson interview until March 14th so the process was lengthy.
On December 1st I submitted the application and within a few days I was emailed and asked to do a questionnaire. A couple of weeks later I was then asked to do a video interview. The video interview lows you to give a video introduction of yourself. Some of the questions you have about ten seconds to read and think of the answer so be prepared. I dressed for a legitiment interview for my video interview.
After maybe like a month and a half I had given up hope but JetBlue emailed me about a face to face interview! The only options I saw were Ft. Lauderdale and NYC. I did mine in Ft. Lauderdale. You have to bring a copy of your passport, your passport, 3 copies of your resume, and another government issued form of ID. You were told to arrive at 8 AM and be checked in by 8:30, so I arrived right at 8 (it was not necessary to be early). At 8:30 they begin the orientation which tells you everything you would like to know; training, salary, benefits, what your life would be like, etc. After that you break up into two groups (there were a little over 50 people all together). 1 group will go into a lobby and do a series of tests. A reach test to be sure you can reach like 6’2. Fingerprinting. A PA test, and don’t worry you are not reading aloud to a bunch of people just one person. The other group is in the banquet hall doing a group activity. The ONLY point (I think) of doing the group activity is to see how you communicate with your group of five. I was not shy, I took lead. After this you will do a solo interview with a inflight crewmember and then with a member from HR.
If you get the job they will give you a call, if you don’t it’s a “thanks but no thanks” email.
Other people I met at the interview have already gotten the no thank you email but I have not gotten an email or a call yet. Hopefully on Monday!!
Finally, wear a very nice black/dark blue suit! No one was underdressed. Girls must wear their hair up. Don’t look like you’re going to the club, but do your makeup well.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Name a time you worked with a fellow employee that had low standards? What did you do if anything?
It's a video interview of a couple questions. You get multiple attempts to answer each question. If you are selected to advance on to the in person group interview where you must use your people skills to mingle & problem solve.
Amazing interview. Positive vibes. Hiring crew inspiring. Advice? Dress like you currently work for them all the way from hair to shoes. Be early. Do not take photos. Put your phones away unless they say you can bring them out.
