      Intern Interview

      May 5, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JetBlue

      Interview

I applied online for one position on a Thursday and was contacted by a recruiter the following Monday telling me to apply for a different position in the same department. I thought that meant I had a pretty good chance at getting it, and I was well qualified (met all the minimum requirements as well as the "preferred" requirements). Once I applied for the second one, the recruiter contacted me immediately to schedule an interview for the next week. The phone interview with the recruiter was painfully dry. She asked very basic questions about my experience and wrote down my answers. She wasn't able to answer the specific questions I asked about the department and said I could ask those at a later interview. I got an email within the week to schedule a second interview. The Skype interview with the recruiter and the supervisor was two weeks later. I first answered a lot more standard questions with the recruiter ("Tell me about a time when you worked as a team to accomplish a complicated task"). The supervisor was awesome, extremely friendly, and I was very excited about the job after speaking with him. He answered my specific questions and told me I had great experience. He asked me when I could start and spoke to me as if I already had the job! Considering how quickly everything happened and how well the interview with the supervisor went, I was definitely expecting an offer. Unfortunately, I received a generic rejection email the next week.

      Interview

The team was friendly and professional. Standard interview questions and I answered using STAR method. I went through three rounds of interviews: HR, manager, team members. It's a cool place to be and everyone is generally friendly.

The interview process consisted of three back-to-back interviews in the office in LIC. Overall it was a great experience and I appreciated seeing the office even though I didn't get the job.
