It's was simple, I went in person to ask if they were highering and then ended up getting in a conversation with the store manager and assistant manager. Then she gave me forms to fill out. And then there was another interview. After that I received the job and went through the process of more paperwork and learning and being trained.

I applied online, then I called the store and notified them that I had just applied. They pulled my application and sent me an interview with store manager. Interview lasted about 15 minutes, no additional interviews.
At least for the holiday season, they contact you in the fall to begin the interview process. Pretty straightforward questions. I met with 2 of the managers. Company gets back to you within a couple of weeks.

The whole process finished in less than 15 mins. It went very smooth and casual. Ask about my background and any retail experience, why do I want to work at J.crew and these very typical questions. I feel like if you present confident and nicely and chat a little bit helps people make a good impression on.
