The entire experience has been deeply disappointing.
After clearing the interview, I was selected for the role and asked to join within just one day. Since I needed to relocate, I requested some time, and after multiple follow-ups and repeated requests, they agreed to give me a week. They also offered work-from-home for the first week, which I genuinely appreciated.
However, my CTC was never finalized, and I didn’t receive a proper offer letter—only a Letter of Intent. I was told that the official offer would be shared on the day of joining, and I trusted that. I had made all the necessary preparations, declined other opportunities, and arranged everything to start on Monday.
They kept following up with me until Sunday afternoon, and even though they said they couldn't meet my original CTC expectations, I agreed to the revised offer without hesitation. Then, shockingly, on Sunday evening—just hours before my joining—they called and informed me not to come in. They said the requirements had changed and there were budget issues, and that they would not be proceeding with the offer after all.
I was devastated. I had trusted their word and put my full faith in the process. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. Being left in the dark at the very last moment, after everything was agreed upon and prepared, was not only unprofessional—it was deeply disheartening.
