I put in my job application and within a week received an email from a technical manager requesting a phone screening. Completed that and then was scheduled for a google hangout interview with a member of the team. Never heard from them again. No decline note was received and my interview status still shows "In Progress" from SmartRecruiters. I find it incredibly unprofessional when companies just never respond. I sent a follow-up email and never heard back from that either.

Nothing exciting. Tell us about your current day to day life.
Thank you for your interest in interviewing at Twin Technologies. We take great pride in who we hire and how we do it. What you experienced was not the norm and was most likely a mis-communication. The position you applied for is still open, and we would like to make this right. Please reach out to me directly to discuss further! -Laurie Cheverie, SR. Technical Recruiter (laurie.cheverie@twintechs.com)
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Intevity in Apr 2016
Interview
Several hangouts with other devs... probably talked to 8 different people over a two month period. I'd reach out for feedback afterwards and it was all good, but someone key in a hiring decision process would be on vacation. Finally got some resolution that their teams were fully staffed so they just didn't need any more devs - despite the fact Twin is constantly interviewing new devs to keep a roster in the event they get new projects, etc. I guess it's in their best interest - but it's disingenuous to advertise/post positions in perpetuity that don't actually exist. It's also a waste of time and effort for those of us who actually ship code and charge clients by the hour. It's probably annoying for their devs to take time off of their projects to conduct these interviews as well. Full disclosure, no sour grapes... if I'm not right for a position I'm fine hearing just that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was all pretty loose and chit chatty, no technical questions whatsoever.
Thanks for interviewing with Twin Technologies. While I'm sorry it didn't work out, I'm grateful you took the time to share your feedback with us, it will help us iterate on our current process over time. I want to make one clarification in response to your comment about advertising/posting positions that don't actually exist. Any role advertised is a role we are actively recruiting for. The bar is high at Twin. In order to hire people that are talented, motivated and team players, we often interview many candidates over a period of time for our open positions.
