Interview
After looking on Glassdoor I was questioning weather or not to attend the interview as the reviews aren’t very good. However, the experience I had was nothing short of outstanding. The interview style of being a lot more conversational and about the company’s culture rather then the stereotypical “tell me a time, Give me an example” is very progressive.

Interview
I interviewed with Kristofer as part of InsurTech Insights’ recruitment process. After the initial interview, I was asked to complete a FirstMind personality assessment, which I did. The results strongly aligned with a high-performing sales profile.
Despite completing both the interview and the assessment and following up politely, I received no further communication or closure. Being asked to invest time in interviews and psychometric testing and then being completely ghosted reflects poorly on the recruitment process and candidate respect.
Based on my experience, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. Multiple reviews on Glassdoor reference similar issues, including a lack of follow-up, poor punctuality, and interviewers being significantly late without consideration for candidates’ time by the CEO himself. This points to a broader pattern rather than a one-off oversight.
It is particularly disappointing because the InsurTech Insights product and overall project are genuinely exciting and have strong potential. However, the candidate experience suggests that this potential may be limited by leadership and process shortcomings rather than the idea itself.
Advice to Management:
Professional decency and respect for people’s time are free. Candidates who complete interviews and assessments deserve a response. Improving leadership accountability and basic hiring hygiene would materially improve the company’s reputation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They focused on behavioural fit for sales and asked me to complete a FirstMind personality assessment to evaluate my sales profile and working style. During the interview, Kris also asked questions about my past events management experience, after which engagement noticeably dropped, and there was no further follow-up, just immature ghosting.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Insurtech Insights (London, England) in Apr 2021
Interview
Had 3 rounds of interviews, was asked to do a design task on the second one. Done this and had to chase them for a reply and review, when they said they would reach out. Ended up not getting the job after all of this.
