My interview was scheduled for 12.30 at Stamford Street branch, I was left waiting for half an hour before being taken straight to the train station to go to Bromely for an "event". This consisted of standing over a cellotaped travel table attempting to lure pensioners into giving away their cash through dancing and acceptance of verbal sexual abuse by those they were attempting to sell to. My interviewer told me that this was okay and you just learn to grow a thick skin but the reference to Terry's chocolate oranges was too far for me. After several hours of "observing" how to sell your product, I was given a pound and told to turn it into £20 in 50 minutes - if I could do that why am I looking for a job? I was further lead under false pretences that I would be professionally trained as a manager who would run an office upon completion of my training but strangely enough my "interviewer" was also a manager but the only office she was running was the table in the market. After all this I was told that this was merely the second stage of the interview and that the third entailed yet another assessment but why am I having to jump through all these hoops to beg for money on the street? You can be homeless with no such hassle and do that! In fact the other candidate I was being interviewed with ran away 4 hours into this supposed "interview" that says a lot. I would stay well away from this agency if you value your pride and autonomy because they will sell you this dream job that doesn't actually exist; they tell you that it's salary based but I was told that the representatives only get paid out of a "pre-allocated budget" only once they have met their quota for the day... so it's commissioned based not salary. Dont buy the lie, I did and it simply wasn't worth it!
