The interview started off on the wrong foot right away. The recruiters didn't bother turning on their cameras during the video call. They thought I was applying for a different position, so I had to tell them I applied for Content Manager.
They provided a brief background about their company and told me they are building the content team from the ground because their team was allegedly not "up to standard" (another red flag).
I was surprised they are based in South Asia, not South Korea.
They refused to disclose the salary range for the position.
Then HR surprised me with a "writing test" for a 1,000-word article on a vague topic. The turnaround time was 1 hour--too short a deadline for the kind of quality they expect. They also only asked for 30 minutes of my time, not 1.5 hours.
I declined to do the unpaid writing test and withdrew my application.
