The initial interviews were as what most would expect. An initial interview with a few technical and non technical questions, followed by a coding review for automation type testing evaluation. The 3rd interview was a video interview where most of the questions were related to QA. After a couple of weeks and 3 interviews, I was asked to produce a presentation which summarizes my resume and me personally in a final interview. In the 4th interview I was asked questions that seemed very much out of scope with the job description of a automation test engineer as they were more directed to a developer role. Moreover, I was asked if I would grow into a developer by learning new technical roles. To me it seemed that the job description was very much a bait and switch tactic as this position seemed to be more related to QA Automation than Developer in Test. Basically, it wasted at least 4 hours of my time not counting the preparation time I provided. My advice is ask the interviewer what is the scope of the job you offer up front.
