I interviewed at Indeed Laboratories (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Possibly one of the worst interview experiences I’ve experienced. To begin, the initial contact scheduled, forgot, and re-scheduled the screening call more than a few times which displayed a lack of respect to a possible new member of the team and poor communication/time management skills. Throughout the process, the CEO was assertive and got straight to the point which at the time I respected. Lastly, at the final stage they provided a case (instructions had quite a few spelling and grammatical errors). The presentation itself was constructive (again both were late), however, towards the end the CEO was very frustrated and unprofessional. I answered the questions with grace even though she was raising her voice and thanked them both for their time. I never received a follow up. At the third round of interviews and amount of hours spent, it is unprofessional and distasteful to not even send a rejection email. In light of this experience, it’s learnt to trust your gut on first impressions.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Indeed Laboratories
Interview
interview was a speed run—late start, early exit, a supposed 30-min chat wrapped up in 10. Their vibe screamed disinterest, like they were itching to end the call. Consider if this aligns with your career goals, as it might reflect the company culture.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Indeed Laboratories (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2023
Interview
Called by a consultant who set up the interview with the hiring team. The team consisted of two women. It was a straightforward process probably because of the involvement of the consultant. The two interviewers came completely unprepared for the interview. Not at all professional. A simple glance at the resume would tell them that my background was from a different but an equally relevant industry. They kept saying we want someone from 'our industry'. Did not let me finish any of the answers and were done in less than 10 minutes. The interview was scripted with one woman making faces while I was speaking while the other just kept looking away from the computer (no she did not have another screen). I did get an impression that they were extremely biased and yes, there was bias against POC. It was evident from some of the statements that were made during the interview.
