This would have been a four-stage process, beginning with an online assessment. I was invited by the company to undertake this assessment and was offered the very next working day, or the working day after that. Having contacted the company promptly - on the same day - to request an alternative date, I received an email the following day to say that they would contact me as soon as possible. Over six weeks later, I proactively heard nothing, and when calling them was told that the matter was with their Senior HR Manager. Eventually, after emailing (a different email address) for the final time, it was confirmed to me that the process had progressed swiftly given that several stages were required - so they had moved on with the interview process without letting me know or even confirming when on the phone to me. The Senior HR Manager was apologetic for the "miscommunication" and "frustration" caused. This was a dreadful experience. Their inflexibility over the initial assessment date was deeply disappointing but was their prerogative. The failure to communicate that decision to a candidate they had invited to assessment was inexcusably poor.
