I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Hubexo in Apr 2026
Interview
Unfortunately, this was one of the most frustrating interview processes I have experienced.
The process started with an HR screening call through a third-party recruiter, who then forwarded my application to the company.
After that, I had an interview with the VP, which went well, and I was invited to continue. The next step was an on-site technical interview, which I was later informed I had passed. Following that, a final interview was scheduled, which was presented as a discussion about the team and the offer.
However, shortly before the final interview, I was told that the company believed I might be a better fit for another team, so the process was paused. After almost two weeks of waiting, I received a rejection stating that they did not believe I was a fit for any of the teams.
The entire process took several weeks, with 1–2 weeks between each stage. My main concern was the lack of transparency and the long waiting periods. After being told I had passed the technical interview and was moving toward the final stage, the outcome was unexpected and difficult to understand.
What disappointed me most was the inconsistency in the messaging. Being told that I passed the technical interview, then being redirected to another team, and finally being rejected because I was not considered a fit for any team made the process feel poorly coordinated.
The long delays also made it difficult to plan other commitments, including my summer vacation and ongoing interview processes.
The interviewers themselves were professional and respectful, but based on this experience, I would be hesitant to apply to the company again.
