I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Headstart Kindergarten and Preschool (Islamabad, Islamabad)
Interview
Everyone was very nice, they did not ask any weird questions. Most of the questions were them trying to understand if I would be a good fit or not. The enviroment made me feel super comfortable.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Headstart Kindergarten and Preschool (Cleveland, OH) in Oct 2015
Interview
Was asked pretty straight forward questions related to the job. Was given an information sheet about the position. Was interested in the job except when they gave me the offer I was told I had one day to get back to them. I was given the name of the school I would be at, but I had not even been able to tour the school or meet anyone who worked there yet (like other teachers, the director etc...). Also the information sheet I was given said salary was $14.01-a little over $17/hr but the offer I got was $14... Was surprised it was less then the sheet they gave me (even though it was only 1 cent less but still) and I had told the person during my interview the least I would accept would be $15-16 (since they asked what rate I would accept) and was told they would definitely try to get me that rate. Also required was a drug test that had to be completed that same day at a different location from the interview (which I had no problem going to do. However they did not tell me I would need to do this, or even say that I would need to set aside at least 2 hours, so if I had had other plans that day it would have been a big issue). Also required was a physical by a doctor, a TB test, a referral form, another mail in referral form, and a fingerprint test they do there. Overall it was a lot of extra papers and documents I would have needed a lot more time to get together (like to schedule different appointments, get people to sign the forms I was given, etc...).
