I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at HQ Revenue in Sep 2020
Interview
The hiring process took place online. It consisted of 3 interviews and a coding assignment and took about 5 weeks.
The first task they sent me after applying was a coding assignment to assess my technical knowledge.
After that, I had an interview with some people from the team to talk about me and my previous experiences and to get to know each other a little better. We also discussed some of my expectations with the job and if the company’s interests were aligned with mine.
The next call was a live coding exercise and lasted about 3 hours.
Finally, I had one last call with some people from other areas of the company. This was a non-technical chat just to get to know each other.
A few days after this last interview, I received the final positive answer. And the company supported me throughout my relocation and visa process.

I applied online. I interviewed at HQ Revenue (Berlin) in Sep 2020
Interview
We set up an initial video call with HR and the Head of Product. Unfortunately I had to postpone the call to another date for personal reasons, which proved to be of no problem. In the call details on the role and HQ Revenue were clarified.
After the initial call I got an assignment to complete, for which I was assigned enough time to work on. During this process I had a couple questions which were swiftly clarified by the Head of Product in a call. I sent the completed assignment by mail and was then invited for an on-site interview in their Berlin office.
In this meeting I presented my assignment to HR, Product and Management in a scenario very similar to my real working process now.
Even in these difficult times HQ Revenue made it possible for me to meet the team I am working with in person – of course under all necessary Covid-19 precautions. I was very happy about this.
Shortly after the meeting I was called by HR and received an offer which also included help with the relocation to Berlin. I happily accepted the offer.
Overall the interview process was swift, felt professional and personal at all times. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction and I was able to gain a good impression of HQ Revenue, its culture and the work I am doing now.
