The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H&M in May 2011
Interview
I contacted a manager and handed him my application, he looked it over to see if I met the basic standards and scheduled a first interview for a few days later. This interview was with a department manager, asking basic questions about previous work experience and my abilities. I was then asked to come in for a second interview a few days later with the store manager. We went through many of the same questions and filled out a background check form. I waited for them to contact me once the results of the background check came through. I got a call a few days later for a third interview. This was with another department manager who asked me a few questions and then offered me the position. I accepted the position and we began the paperwork for employment. Overall, it's a drawn out process, but necessary in order to hire the best people.

I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Dundalk) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was lovely, very interactive. Getting to meet new people, seeing the H&M store was really nice. The supervisor was really professional and warm. First we got to know each other, then did a question and answers round with everyone, situation based, customer service based, questions to display your skills etc, talking about H&M values and then we had a group task, to come with a outfit based on the provided situation.
I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Brighton, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
Group interview, asked us questions like what's our hobbies and why do we want to work at H&M. We then had to work in pairs to choose the importance of certain scenarios that we may come across. We then were given a scenario in a group and had to go around the shop and choose an outfit suitable for that scenario. We ended the interview being asked two random questions about the brand or anything in general.
