Gulf Coast Alliance interview questions

I applied to Malibu for a job titled Event Assistant. After some initial confusion, I learned that Malibu was a sister company to the Gulf Coast Alliance. The branch I applied to was in New Orleans, LA. My first contact with the company was through a text message asking to set up an interview the following day. I was a little put off by the text message, as I do not feel that is an appropriate method. However, about 20 minutes later, a woman called me, and we set up a time. The interview itself seemed to go well. The woman I spoke to on the phone and the man who interviewed me were both friendly and professional. The interview was short and designed for us to get to know each other. I was told that if I did not hear from them on Monday, then they had decided to pursue other options. Well, I didn’t hear from them on Monday. I sent a follow-up email just in case, but received no response. With a little disappointment, I accepted the rejection. However, I wouldn’t be writing this review if the story ended there. A week later, I received another text message asking for an interview, and it was worded as though the first interview hadn’t happened. (And it was not an accidental repeat message—the interview date had changed.) I responded asking if this was a follow-up, although I never received a response. Over the next two weeks, I received two more similar text messages, for a total of three almost identical texts since the interview. None of them identified a job title. They just asked for an interview on different dates. I tried calling, but the phone rang on end and never went to voicemail. I do not understand why this company continues to harass me while simultaneously freezing me out. Since there have been no attempts at an apology or an explanation, I cannot help but see this company as unorganized at best and unprofessional at worst.

The interview process went very quickly and efficiently and I feel like GCA is a well-established company that really knows what they are doing. The staff is amazing and has a very welcoming energy.
