I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Grappus (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Mar 2024
Interview
I recently went through a six-round interview process: the gaming round, AI interview, two technical rounds with senior developers, a cultural discussion, and the managerial round. I successfully cleared all stages.
Most of the interviews were conducted with professionalism and respect, which I sincerely appreciated. However, the cultural round felt disappointing. The questions asked were personal, irrelevant to assessing cultural fit, and delivered in a way that came across as unnecessarily dismissive. This was surprising and inconsistent with the otherwise respectful interactions throughout the rest of the process.
I would recommend refining the cultural evaluation stage to focus more on values, collaboration style, and alignment with company culture rather than personal matters. When handled thoughtfully, this stage can strengthen a candidate’s perception of the organization, rather than detract from it.
Ultimately, although I cleared all rounds, I chose not to proceed with the offer due to the in-office requirement, compensation misalignment, and the negative impression left by the cultural round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview rounds were fairly basic, focusing on fundamental AI/ML concepts and medium-level LeetCode DSA questions. Anyone with a solid basic understanding of these areas would be able to handle them.
