Got a call from the Director of QA and had brief conversation with him. He then later sent an email with an exercise to do and email back to him. We arranged a time to come in and got a list of people I will speaking to. After seeing the list, it should've been a red flag right away that I was only meeting for 1hr total with just 2 people.....never have I been to an interview where you don't meet with PMs or Software Engineers as well. Once I arrived, I was told that I would only be meeting with the Manager. The guy came in with the disinterested look already and makes it seem like he's doing me a favor. After some awkward silence, i ended up asking a few questions to get it started. After 15min he says, thats all I need to know which caught me by surprise. I ended up dragging it out another 30min to just get some general idea on things. By far the worst experience going to an interview. If they already had no intention of having any interest in me, then why have me take time off and drive for over an hr to just sit there for 30min? Hopefully if HR is reading this the memo will get across.
