I was told to put together a social strategy, a 90-day plan, and anything else that I wanted to present to the CEO for a second-round interview. The hiring manager said she spent 4 hours on her presentation, so I went above and beyond and allocated 5+ hours to this. I had a great meeting with the CEO (he seems awesome) but after meeting with the team, they decided to go with a different candidate. After spending 8+ hours in interviews and preparation, receiving a generic rejection email with no insightful feedback was extremely disappointing. I even sent a follow-up email asking for this and never even heard back. Advice: don't waste your time on the presentation if they don't respect candidates' time!
