      Sales Operations Interview

      Feb 16, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Mill Valley, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Mill Valley, CA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

One of the best interview processes I have ever taken part in. From my first phone screen with HR, I could tell they truly emphasized fit in their hiring process. The process itself consisted of two phone screens, and one super day consisting of 5-6 in person interviews. There was a good mix of behavioral, case, and technical aptitude questions but none should catch you off guard if you've prepared. Turnaround was very quick as well. HR was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process, and afterwards!

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor

      Interview

The process was thorough and fair. It consisted of a screening call, followed by interviews with members of the team, the hiring manager and an executive. The interviews were a blend of traditional Q&A and conversational. The questions were open ended and organically segwayed into discussions about the needs of the company pertaining to the position. They wanted to find a qualified individual who was also a good cultural fit.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the interview experience with the Glassdoor Sales Operations team. We strive to create both a fair and thorough interview process where Glassdoor as well as the interview candidates can determine if the role is a good fit. Glassdoor Sales Operations has a strong cohesive team and it is important that we find candidates that bring the right amount of experience to the role but also are a good cultural fit with the organization. I am very pleased both of those points came through in the interview process and you had a positive interview experience. Without a doubt you had many choices for your next role and we are so happy that you chose Glassdoor! - Lance Szely, VP of Sales Operations

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Glassdoor (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2017

      Interview

A recruiter contacted me for an initial phone screen a few weeks after I applied online. After that call, I was set up with a phone interview with the hiring manager. For the third and final step I received a phone call from the initial recruiter letting me know they would like to bring me on site. During the on-site I met with 5 different people on the team, from peer-level to VP-level. The team was great: smart, energetic, and authentic. The negative: After the interview I emailed the recruiter to touch base and pass on my thanks to her and the team, saying I was excited to hear back. She responded saying she would be back with an update as soon as the team had made a decision. I never heard back and checked in once a week for 3 weeks -- nothing. This was very disappointing; I was very excited about the opportunity and took time out of my schedule (I work in investment banking) to work be prepared and illustrate my excitement and skill-set. To be left hanging was annoying at best and stressful at worst. It's not hard to send a notice to a candidate, even if it's generic.
