I had an initial interview which went for an hour. However, for the final interview, no one showed up. Despite multiple follow-ups, I never received a response. This lack of communication was very unprofessional and disappointing. Candidates invest significant time and preparation for interviews, and a simple update would have shown respect for that effort.
During the process, I also noted several concerns about the company culture and practices. The interviewer came across as overly demanding, and there was mention of high employee turnover and heavy workloads, including work expected during holidays.
The most surprising thing was that I was advised that while the job posting advertised a salary range of $10–14/hour, I was later told the “realistic” rate would be $8/hour, not due to qualifications or experience, but simply as a company practice.
