I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at General Mills in Oct 2015
Interview
I applied through university recruiting, attended a mandatory info session and signed up for interviews at the info session. I interviewed for first round the next day and was notified that night that I made second round interviews which were the day after. The interviewers and recruiters were very nice and personable and the interviews were laid back. The interviewers asked all behavioral, resume oriented questions as well as what-if scenarios. I thought they went well and enjoyed the people I met. However, they took over a month to notify me about third round and were completely silent. They sent no follow up e-mails or anything letting me know when to expect to find out if I made third round which i thought was extremely unprofessional and seriously rude. Luckily, I received a way better offer shortly after my interviews with General Mills or else I would have been going crazy with anxiety about not knowing the outcome.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at General Mills (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2025
Interview
- 2 on 1 for the first interview
1 of them was asking questions and 1 of them was taking notes. Felt pretty intense, they never got back to me and said I would hear back after a week. I then reached out and they responded immediately saying I did not get the job.
Applied online and then interviewed over a zoom call. Straightforward and easy. Two rounds. Some online personality questions as well. Overall a good experience. Different interview lets each round both current employees.
