I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GCash in Aug 2022
Interview
Applied for Aspire MDP 2022 intake Initial stages were as follows 1. Application form (via Linkedin, idk if they posted elsewhere 2. Recruitment Form 3. ASPIRE Orientation 4. Program Tracks Form + Essay 5. Assessment Center - “ a whole day session where you will be given the opportunity to showcase your skills and talents and show us what you're made of!” Lasted the whole day from 9AM to 5PM ONLINE. Cameras were required to be on the whole time. 1hr break. Was very exhausting. **Disclaimer: I’m not sure about the exactness of the next phases, as I didn’t make it past the Assessment Center** 6. HR Interview 7. Line manager interview 8. Final Interview However I just wanted to point out that I never received ANY feedback or notice after not making it past the Assessment Center. In other words, they ghosted. 🤪 I also have a friend who made it to the next stage (the HR interview), but then also didn’t hear back after that. I’m not saying this out of bitterness (it’s been months since then as I write this, so don’t accuse me of it please), but I’m placing this here in the hopes that the HR team does better! Let’s please not perpetuate “only shortlisted candidates will be contacted” and operate with compassion to ALL applicants. It’s the decent and human thing to do. As a future-forward company, I hope that would also flow towards your HR processes. 💙
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
* re about the Assessment Center So remember when they asked you which track you wanted? You’re then scheduled and pitted against other applicants in a seminar-workshop/simulation kind of thing. We were around 30 applicants that day, then we were grouped into 3 — making it about 10 each (a really big group!). We were given case studies and we had to come up with solutions (while under time pressure), then present it to the Plenary afterwards. There were 3 sessions (seminar, workshop, presentation) and it lasted the whole day from 9AM to 5PM. This was ONLINE too btw (mid-2022– still mostly online work setup), which was handy but also really really taxing. The hard part (which I guess is part of what you’re being evaluated for) is getting your voice heard, especially when you’re up against really strong and assertive personalities, and getting the group to understand and adopt what you’re suggesting. Of course I wouldn’t know now for certain (because they ghosted, as I’ve mentioned above🤪), but I’m sure that would be largely why I didn’t make it past that stage. I knew I wasn’t at my peak energy so I underperformed.
