I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Edward Jones (Saint Louis, MO) in Jan 2021
Interview
It was the longest and most intense process I have ever experienced. You are prequalified by a recruiter, then asked to do recorded interviews questions through their ModernHire platform, then asked to do virtual video interviews with 3-5 people, then asked to complete an online assessment and virtual simulation, and then a final interview with the leader of that business segment. The assessment and simulation take 4 hours and must be completed during business hours. If offered the job you must then drug test, fingerprint, and go through and invasive and extensive background check that could last almost a month. They ask for 10 years of history and may request tax documentation.
Recruiting didn’t disclose how many days candidates were given to complete video interview. Received a reminder message 4 days after initial email saying we noticed you haven’t completed, but never saying how many more days I had to complete. The next day they sent a declination email.
Competency/Behavioral Based. Recorded video was first step (extremely rare). Three phases and still not final round. Received the generic note thanks/no thanks in the end. Heavy reliance on technology over humanity leaving to the applicant to develop people connections. This is not uncommon though in big business environments.
