      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at EY (McLean, VA) in Jan 2011

      Interview

Received a call from the recruiter to set up a phone interview, which consisted of skill test and background, work experience. Followed by Super Day interview session, which consisted of 3 1:1 interviews. Most of question consisted of background work to see if you are the right fit. Every one was very easy going and professional.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at EY (Pittsburgh, PA) in Sep 2010

      Interview

I was contacted by an HR representative from Ernst & Young regarding interest in having me join the Performance Improvement Supply Chain team. Discussed a little about my resume and experiences. The recruiter liked what they heard and set me up for the next round of interviews. The next round consisted of two 30 minute phone interviews with Senior Managers from the Performance improvement team. These interviews mainly discussed my resume and included some behavioral questions, i.e. "give me an example of a time when you had to lead a group and what was the outcome." In these interviews, one of the interviewers in particular dug a little deeper into my resume. The interviewer would scrutinize worlds like 'cycle time', 'Takt time', and 'supply chain' in my resume and ask me what my definition of those terms were. In asmuch as these words are on my resume and I was applying for a PI role in Supply chain, it behooves one to be able to explain them. I was able to get to the next round and that is when i went into one of the offices and had three 1:1 interviews with Senior Managers/partners. These interviews were similar to my phone interviews in duration and style. Once again, one of the interviewers went a little more deep into my knowledge of supply chain and decision making than others. The Senior Manager even went as far as to have me illustrate my points on the white-board for him. He would ask a question and based on my answer would dig a little deeper. Nothing too difficult for someone who has a sound understanding of supply chain principles. All of the interviewers were very professional, polite. EY took care of me and flew me down there for the interview and put me up in a nice hotel in the middle of downtown. The work culture seems very collaborative and team oriented. I suggest that candidates understand the position that they are applying for and be able to answer general questions regarding the overall position. Also, very important: Have a good 3-4 questions for each interviewer. One interviewer and I spent most of the time discussing my questions because he was impressed and found them insightful. So instead of being bombarded with resume questions, we were going back and forth about the direction of the advisory business.
