      Financial Services Advisory Interview

      Oct 10, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Singapore
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EY (Singapore) in Sep 2016

      Interview

There were 4 rounds all in one day: 1: Classic interview (1-on-1 with manager) 2: Presentation about yourself, why EY, why advisory and something about the banking and finance industry (1-on-1 with senior manager) 3: Written test (Summarization task) 4: Group Case (4 per group, each one of you will have a leaflet of different information that you would have to communicate with your group). They will ask you questions at the end about how you arrived at the answer. Depending on your interviewer, you may potentially get brain teasers. If not, each segment is about 45 mins with 15 mins break in between. Tip: Read up a lot on what their different business lines are, how does the big 4 advisory differ from the big 3 consultancy firms, why do you want to go into consulting.
