I had an initial conversation with the hiring manager to discuss my experience and suitability for the role. We walked through my experience in prior roles and how those would be applicable at ELMO. In the second round, I was given a case study - a new requirement that ELMO would work on - and asked to present to the hiring manager how I would work on the given requirement as a Product Owner. Following the presentation, I was asked questions about some of the content of my presentation. Overall, it was a good experience and having taken interviews for similar roles previously, nothing out of the ordinary.

Question 1
How will you handle a specific question (based on case study) from the engineer?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ELMO Software in Jan 2026
Interview
Interviewers were prepared and asked the right questions suited to the role itself.
2 rounds of interviews and I was invited to the first round. Got ghosted after the first, not even a rejection email.

Question 1
What do you measure success of a product?
How would you organise a 2-week sprint working with the scrum team?
I interviewed with the CTO and CEO and did a case presentation based on one of their requirements. The process itself was fairly straightforward and standard questions you can expect for a PO interview were asked during the case round (e.g. answering clarifying questions from engineers, UX, etc.)
